However, in September 1924, Rakhal landed upon a copy of the newspaper Illustrated London News in which the credit of discovering Mohenjo daro had been heaped upon his boss. Within a month Rakhal Das also received a transfer order in which he was relieved of his duties at the Mohenjo-Daro site with immediate effect.
