François GautierFrançois Gautier, born 1959 in France, is a writer and journalist based in India. He came to India at the age of 19 and spent his first eight years at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in the "international city" of Auroville in Tamil Nadu. He has been living in India since the 1970s and is married to an Indian. He wrote for a national daily based in Paris. Thereafter after living for eight years in the Sri Aurobindo ashram in Puducherry, he resumed writing for various national and international papers but this time about Indian affairs.
